Protocol of 18F-FDG PET/CT with (A) and without (B) heparin loading. Heparin (50 IU/kg) was intravenously injected 15 min before the injection of 18F-FDG, and the can commenced 60 min after 18F-FDG injection. Venous blood sampling was performed 15 min before 18F-FDG injection and 15 and 75 min after heparin injection in health subjects with heparin loading plus a 12-h fast (HEP group). In the healthy subjects with no heparin loading plus fasting for a minimum of 16 h (LF group), venous blood sampling was performed 15 min before 18F-FDG injection.
