  1. The biopsies had approximately the same size 10-20 mm2 but the number of areas with tumour cells and necrotic tissue varied. Between two to nine 320 × 250-μm areas with tumour cells, necrotic tissue, and high TS1 binding per case were analysed. The percentage (%) DAB-positive immunostaining for TS1 in seven cases of primary bronchial small-cell carcinomas was determined by use of ImageJ ImmunoRatio.aContains many intact tumour cells.
