Histopathological confirmation of dysplastic lesions in IL1B mice. A Representative H&E images of all three MK007-injected IL1B mice and evaluated by endoscopy: the dysplastic lesions were located at the junction between the squamous epithelium and columnar epithelium. At a higher magnification, the lesions displayed a dysplasia score of 3 out of 4 (orange arrows) in all the three mice. Metaplasia and infiltration of inflammatory cells such as lymphocytes were also present. B Representative H&E images of the two negative control IL1B mice used for endoscopy: both negative control mice presented metaplastic or dysplastic lesions (arrows) at the junction between the squamous and the columnar epithelium but only one mouse (negative control 2) had dysplasia (score 3).
