Inhibition of [125I]MIBG uptake in SERT- and NET-transfected HEK293 cells by SSRIs and desipramine. MIBG uptake assays were performed on HEK-SERT cells (open symbols ○) or HEK-NET cells (closed symbols ■) in the presence of various concentrations of citalopram (a), fluvoxamine (b), and desipramine (c). [125I]MIBG uptake is expressed relative to assays conducted in the absence of inhibitors. Cells were incubated for 1 h with a substrate concentration of 10−6 M. Data represent mean ± SD (n = 2)
