A primary MF patient exhibited normal or slightly decreased bone marrow activity in the central skeleton, but they had marked expansion to the distal extremities and high uptake of the tracer in the enlarged spleen (a). On the other hand, a secondary (post-ET) MF patient had marked 18F-FLT uptake in bone marrow (c). Whole-body DWI displayed homogenously high signal intensities in bone marrow of primary and secondary MF patients (b, d, respectively)
