Histogram of \( {BP}_{\mathsf{ND}}^{\ast } \) values in a parametric image of a representative HC subject. A frequency histogram was constructed using \( {BP}_{\mathsf{ND}}^{\ast } \) values in all voxels (blue area). Purple line indicates the mean FWHM of a Gaussian distribution fit in HCs (0.33). Voxels with \( {BP}_{\mathsf{ND}}^{\ast } \) values above mean −2 SD at a range of the mean FWHM (purple area) were selected to generate a reference tissue.
