Figure 3

Comparison between the 125 I-TNC-Ab uptake ratios in rats with and without postconditioning. 125I-TNC-Ab uptake ratio was calculated by dividing the 125I-TNC-Ab count density in the area at risk by that of non-ischemic area. 125I-TNC-Ab uptake ratio in rats without postconditioning at 1 day after reperfusion was 3.73ā€‰Ā±ā€‰0.71 and increased at 3 days (4.65ā€‰Ā±ā€‰0.87), followed by a significant reduction at 7 days after reperfusion (2.91ā€‰Ā±ā€‰0.55, Pā€‰<ā€‰0.005 vs 3 days) and a further reduction at 14 days (2.01ā€‰Ā±ā€‰0.17, Pā€‰<ā€‰0.005 vs 1 and 3 days). Postconditioning attenuated the 125I-TNC-Ab uptake ratio throughout the reperfusion time from 1 to 14 days; 2.59ā€‰Ā±ā€‰0.59 at 1 day, Pā€‰<ā€‰0.05: 3.10ā€‰Ā±ā€‰0.42 at 3 days, Pā€‰<ā€‰0.005: 1.93ā€‰Ā±ā€‰0.37 at 7 days, Pā€‰<ā€‰0.05, 1.40ā€‰Ā±ā€‰0.07 at 14 days, Pā€‰<ā€‰0.001.
