The results of the rat bladder strip in vitro model. Rat bladder strip mounted in two parallel organ baths and incubated in 125I-BoNT-A (A) showing no inhibition of contraction force induced by electrical field stimulation (EFS) in time and unlabelled BoNT-A (B) showing inhibition of contraction force induced by EFS in time. Both strips are simultaneously stimulated by potassium chloride (KCl; three times), carbachol (CCh; three times), EFS (repetitive) and CCh (three times). The CCh-induced strip contraction before and after incubation is a viability check of the strip during the experiment.
