In vivo [18F ]flutemetamol retention in the brain of mouse models of AD. Sagittal PET/CT images summed over 40 to 60 min after [18F]flutemetamol injection are shown for (a) APP23, (b) Tg2576 and (c) APPswe-PS1dE9 mice. Increased [18F]flutemetamol retention (yellow) was detected in the cerebral cortex of aged APP23 mice (18 and 21 months), but signals in aged Tg2576 (19 and 22 months) and APPswe-PS1dE9 (19 months) mice were similar to those of the young (9 months) transgenic mice.
